Green hydrogen

Produced either from biomass or by water electrolysis using renewable electricity, green hydrogen has a promising future in Québec and elsewhere in the world.


Biomethanization of organic waste, biofuel production, distribution of residual forest biomass, etc. Québec aims to increase its bioenergy production by 50% by 2030.

Renewable natural gas

By 2030, the natural gas system should include 10% renewable natural gas. Eligible projects may receive government financial assistance.
