If you have a student debt that is administered by the Collection Department
Don't forget that you are still responsible for your student debt, even if the Ministère guaranteed the loan. If you fail to repay your financial institution, the Ministère will honour its loan guarantee, but in turn it will become your creditor. You will then owe your debt to the Ministère. You will be required to make a new repayment agreement with the person incharge of your file at the Collection Department of Aide financière aux études. You will be able to choose how to repay your student loan debt: preauthorized debt, cheque, electronic payment or bank/postal money order.
By preauthorized debit
If you opt for payment by preauthorized debit, you will need to fill out the "Application for preauthorized debit" form that is available in your Aide financière aux études Internet Student File.
Alternatively, you can print, fill out and sign the Authorization to Use Preauthorized Debit-Repayment Agreement then mail it to us with a void cheque.
Send the form at the following address:

- If you have not already done so, you must register to use your financial institution’s on-line services.
- Add “Aide financière aux études” as payee (refer to the instructions on your financial institution’s website).
