Several organizations offer training in first aid and cardiopulomary resuscitation (CPR). These easy-to-learn techniques can save lives. The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux therefore encourages the public to take CPR training.

The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, in collaboration with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, has developed innovative training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR without ventilation) called "Hero in 30© ". This 30-minute training program prepares first aiders to intervene rapidly with an adult who is choking or in cardiac arrest, until emergency services arrive.
