This Social Assistance and Support Program enables individuals with a severely limited capacity for employment to pursue a vocational, college or university education at a pace that is adapted to their situation.
Presentation and Objectives
By taking part in this program, you will be able to pursue studies in a qualifying vocational, technical or university program. The chosen program must lead to a diploma that enables you to work in a trade or profession.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this program, you must qualify for the Loans and Bursaries Program .
You must also meet the following requirements:
- You wish enter a professional or post-secondary training program
- You are recognized as having a severely limited capacity for employment
- You have been receiving benefits under the Social Assistance Program or the Social Solidarity Program for 12 of the last 24 months
- You do not qualify for the Mesure de formation de la main-d’œuvre (MFOR)
Reimbursable Expenses
You may be eligible to receive financial assistance in addition to loans and bursaries , as well as continue to receive claim slips.
