Job description

These individuals plan, direct, and assess the activities of a human resources department. They develop policies, programs, and procedures.

Environment

Main tasks

  • Plan and recruit workforce.
  • Classify and evaluate positions.
  • Administer staff development, language training, health, safety, and wellness programs.
  • Assist department heads in interpreting and applying personnel policies.
  • Organize and conduct briefings.
  • Coordinate compensation and benefits services.
  • Negotiate collective agreements.
  • Ensure that good relations are maintained between staff and management.
  • Participate in committee meetings.
  • Assume a leadership role in addition to being a business partner for the company.
