Job description

These individuals supervise and coordinate the work performed by general office clerks. They also supervise office automation and desktop publishing clerks.

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks

  • Assign and review clerical work (word processing, record keeping, filing, data entry, etc.).
  • Establish work schedules and procedures.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments or divisions.
  • Solve work-related problems.
  • Draft and present reports.
  • Train staff on their duties, safety rules, and company policies.
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Ensure office equipment and materials work properly and provide for their maintenance and repair as required.
  • Perform the same duties as supervised staff as required.
