Job description

These individuals prepare courses and teach students in secondary schools. They specialize in general, specialized, or vocational subjects. This group includes Group Leaders.

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks

  • Design and implement learning situations according to the authorized program.
  • Teach students using a variety of teaching methods and techniques.
  • Prepare, distribute, and correct assignments and evaluations.
  • Assess student progress, identify individual needs, and implement remedial programs as required.
  • Discuss student results with parents and school authorities.
  • Ensure classroom discipline and report behavioural problems to school authorities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and training workshops.
  • Get involved in various aspects of school life (supervise common areas, accompany students on outings, lead extracurricular activities, etc.).
  • Collaborate with other teachers and professionals in the school.
  • Supervise, as required, teaching interns.
