Job description

These individuals collaborate in planning and carrying out graphic design projects. They work on their own or for:

  • The government
  • Publishing and communication firms
  • Advertising and marketing agencies
  • Printing companies
  • Multimedia production centres
  • Television and film production companies

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature
  • Odours

Main tasks

  • Note the project’s guidelines and specifications.
  • Design various elements (animation drawings, lettering, logos, advertising posters, etc.) according to the specifications.
  • Produce, digitize, and transform images and drawings.
  • Design a layout model, as required.
  • Integrate various elements into the model (texts, illustrations, graphics, etc.).
  • Carry out the document’s formatting, arrangement, and layout according to the model.
  • Produce proofs and printing documents.
  • Collaborate with various professionals.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience or additional training lead to senior positions.
