Sports and Recreation Program Leaders
Job description
These individuals lead, evaluate, and train individuals in sports, recreation, and athletics programs, etc. They provide fitness counselling services.
Main tasks
- Plan, implement, and monitor recreation, athletics, fitness, and sports activities.
- Set up, maintain, and repair devices and equipment for sports and games.
- Teach sports, arts, crafts, and other similar activities.
- Attend to special needs clients.
- Carry out therapeutic sports or athletic activities.
- Ensure that safety procedures are followed and provide first aid or emergency care when needed.
- Assist in coordinating special events.
- Train and supervise staff as required.
- Maintain up-to-date records and logs.
- Draft reports.
