Job description

These individuals lead, evaluate, and train individuals in sports, recreation, and athletics programs, etc. They provide fitness counselling services.

Main tasks

  • Plan, implement, and monitor recreation, athletics, fitness, and sports activities.
  • Set up, maintain, and repair devices and equipment for sports and games.
  • Teach sports, arts, crafts, and other similar activities.
  • Attend to special needs clients.
  • Carry out therapeutic sports or athletic activities.
  • Ensure that safety procedures are followed and provide first aid or emergency care when needed.
  • Assist in coordinating special events.
  • Train and supervise staff as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and logs.
  • Draft reports.
