Technical Sales Specialists - Wholesale
Job description
These individuals sell technical goods and services on the national and international market. This group includes supervisors. They are self-employed, subcontractors, or hired by:
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Consulting engineering firms
- Computer services
- Hydroelectric companies
- Industrial equipment manufacturers
- Import/export companies

Main tasks
- Promote the sale of technical goods and services.
- Target and solicit new clients.
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate goods and services.
- Provide guidance to the manufacturer of a product when it needs to be adapted to customer needs.
- Assess the costs of installation and maintenance of equipment or service.
- Draft and carry out sales contracts.
- Provide after-sales service and write reports.
- Train staff in the use and maintenance of products, as required.
- Conduct sales electronically, as required.
- Supervise staff, as required.
Advancement and mobility
- Additional experience or training is required to advance to managerial or supervisory positions.
