Job description
These individuals process customers’ financial transactions and provide information on banking products and services. They are employed by banks, trust companies, and credit unions.

Main tasks
- Respond to customer inquiries and solve problems or discrepancies in their accounts.
- Inform customers about banking products and services available to meet their needs.
- Cash money, cheques, bill payments, and credit cards.
- Pay cash and make transfers.
- Issue money orders and certified cheques.
- Obtain and record information required for various purposes (opening an account, subscribing to savings plans, purchasing bonds, etc.).
- Sell traveller’s cheques, foreign currency, or bank money orders.
