These individuals maintain and repair small engines and equipment. They work in workshops or service companies.

Main tasks
- Take note of the requests and discuss the work to be done with superiors.
- Check and test mechanical components (e.g. motors) to locate malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts or system components.
- Check and adjust the operation of repaired equipment.
- Carry out periodic maintenance service.
- Discuss with customers the work performed and the general condition of the equipment.
- Determine repair costs.
