Public Maintenance Machinery Operators
Job description
These individuals drive vehicles whose purpose is to maintain, clear, and ensure the proper functioning of public utilities (sewers, garbage, electricity, etc.).

Main tasks
- Collect garbage, compost, and recyclable materials and transport them to designated areas.
- Remove sand and garbage from the streets.
- Clear snow from streets, parking lots, and similar areas.
- Maintain and repair the sewage systems.
- Spread sand on roads.
- Cut down trees and clear vegetation near power lines.
- Make sure the power poles are in good condition.
- Locate utility networks and underground pipes.
- Maintain and clean service vehicles.
- Inform (a) supervisor of any defects.
