Underground Mine Support Staff
Job description
These individuals oversee the operation of underground mines (ore passes, coal conveyors, etc.). They contribute to the construction and maintenance of facilities, roadways, and access routes. They ensure the supply of materials and tools required for the operation.

Main tasks
- Operate and maintain the facilities and equipment that move ore and coal.
- Build, repair, and maintain haulage ways, roadways, support (walls) and structures made of wood or metal.
- Set up and extend ventilation and water networks.
- Help operate mining machinery.
- Provide and maintain the distribution of materials (sand, rock, etc.).
- Maintain storage areas, materials, equipment, and tools.

- There is mobility between companies operating certain types of mining operations.
