2021-2022 Revitalization Plan for Educational Success

The 2021-2022 Revitalization Plan for Educational Success provides a blueprint and guarantees a certain measure of predictability for all education system stakeholders who work with our young people on a daily basis. This plan is aimed at helping young children, adolescents and adult learners achieve educational success and remain committed to their studies, and at contributing to their well-being. It also supports parents and all other stakeholders who work with students and who are responsible for helping them achieve academic success.

The reduction of learning gaps among students is the key priority of this plan. A focus on the overall health and well-being of students and staff in all schools is also essential if learning is to take place in an atmosphere that is positive, caring and as safe as possible.

This plan therefore consists of concrete actions to help students, parents and school staff work together to enhance education in Québec beyond the pandemic.

This plan addresses the following 10 priority needs identified during the Symposium on Educational Success:

  1. Provide students with more tutoring and pedagogical support
  2. Ensure that learning can continue to take place during the summer
  3. Reinforce the winning relationship between schools and families
  4. Ensure that everyone can make the most of digital technology
  5. Watch over the health of students and staff
  6. Promote healthy lifestyle habits and outdoor activities
  7. Maintain a school organization that motivates everyone involved
  8. Gradually return to normal with regard to pedagogical frameworks
  9. Support teachers through an innovative pilot project
  10. Monitor the situation and encourage research

Symposium on Educational Success

The Revitalization Plan is the result of a consultation process involving partners and the general public. The Symposium on Educational Success: Education Beyond the Pandemic was held March 31 and April 1, 2021, and briefs were submitted during a period of public consultation. Three meetings were also held with secondary school students.
