  • 1,267 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 933,443*;
  • 15 new deaths, for a total of 14,141 deaths;
  • 1,162 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 60 compared to the previous day;
    • 70 new entries,
    • 130 new discharges;
  • 68 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 1 compared to the previous day;
    • 4 new entries,
    • 5 new discharges;
  • 14,046 samples conducted on March 8;
  • 105,574 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 82,427 positive: 444 declared for yesterday, including 327 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

Vaccination

  • 6,654 doses administered are added, that is 6,563 doses in the last 24 hours and 91 doses before March 9, for a total of 18,497,524 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 309,008 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 18,806,532 doses received by Quebecers.
