QUÉBEC CITY, May 19, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 626 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,060,045*;
- 14 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,326 deaths;
- 5,039 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,562 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 37 compared to the previous day;
- 97 new entries,
- 134 new discharges;
- 53 people in intensive care, for an increase of 5 compared to the previous day;
- 13 new entries,
- 8 new discharges;
- 12,910 samples conducted on May 17;
- 209,649 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 171,771 positive: 212 declared for yesterday, including 173 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 14,845 doses administered are added, that is 14,160 doses in the last 24 hours and 685 doses before May 18, for a total of 19,811,415 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 332,282 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,143,697 doses received by Quebecers.
