QUÉBEC CITY, May 20, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 612 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,060,657*;
- 12 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,338 deaths;
- 4,810 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,493 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 69 compared to the previous day;
- 72 new entries,
- 141 new discharges;
- 51 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
- 6 new entries,
- 8 new discharges;
- 12,321 samples conducted on May 18;
- 209,969 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 172,047 positive: 167 declared for yesterday, including 131 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 13,086 doses administered are added, that is 12,640 doses in the last 24 hours and 446 doses before May 19, for a total of 19,824,501 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 332,708 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,157,209 doses received by Quebecers.
