QUÉBEC CITY, Aug. 30, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 852 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,176,935*;
- 29 new deaths, for a total of 16,363 deaths, i.e.;
- 2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 23 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 4 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 3,617 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,807 hospitalizations, including 608 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 73 compared to the previous day;
- 224 new entries,
- 297 new discharges;
- 49 people in intensive care, including 24 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
- 16 new entries,
- 16 new discharges;
- 8,721 samples conducted on August 28;
- 248,472 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 236,587 positive: 169 declared for yesterday, including 141 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 13,639 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,714,723 doses received by Quebecers.
