  • 908 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,177,843*;
  • 11 new deaths, for a total of 16,374 deaths, i.e.;
    • 0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
    • 7 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
    • 4 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;

NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.

  • 3,692 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
  • 1,777 hospitalizations, including 596 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 30 compared to the previous day;
    • 109 new entries,
    • 139 new discharges;
  • 42 people in intensive care, including 22 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 7 compared to the previous day;
    • 6 new entries,
    • 13 new discharges;
  • 12,828 samples conducted on August 29;
  • 248,841 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 236,905 positive: 203 declared for yesterday, including 169 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

Vaccination

  • 21,659 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,736,933 doses received by Quebecers.
