QUÉBEC CITY, Sept. 2, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 761 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,179,550*;
- 23 new deaths, for a total of 16,409 deaths, i.e.;
- 0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 7 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 16 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 3,694 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,728 hospitalizations, including 588 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 42 compared to the previous day;
- 104 new entries,
- 146 new discharges;
- 37 people in intensive care, including 17 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
- 5 new entries,
- 7 new discharges;
- 11,181 samples conducted on August 31;
- 283,508 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 237,479 positive: 139 declared for yesterday, including 119 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 16,967 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,777,952 doses received by Quebecers.
