  • 1,037 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,199,868*;
  • 8 new deaths, for a total of 16,770 deaths, i.e.;
    • 2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
    • 3 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
    • 3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
      NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
  • 3,861 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
  • 1,663 hospitalizations, including 514 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 44 compared to the previous day;
    • 152 new entries,
    • 108 new discharges;
  • 34 people in intensive care, including 12 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
    • 5 new entries,
    • 5 new discharges;
  • 12,669 samples conducted on September 27;
  • 292,237 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 245,035 positive: 200 declared for yesterday, including 170 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

Vaccination

  • 24,986 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,242,658 doses received by Quebecers.
