MONTRÉAL, May 10, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The MAC is pleased to invite you to the press conference inaugurating the Museum's summer exhibition, Unstable Presence from Mexican and Montrealer artist, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, internationally renowned for his large-scale immersive installations, which incorporate technology and interactivity.

The exhibition offers a new perspective on the artist's output over the last decade, exploring its poetic and political dimensions via the notion of co-presence, engaging both the voice and body of the viewers.

Eighteen major artworks are brought together in this exhibition, which is the first museum survey of his work to be presented in Canada or the United States.

Rafael Lozano-Hemmer: Unstable Presence is co-organized by the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).

The conference will be held in the presence of:

  • The artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer
  • John Zeppetelli, Director and Chief Curator at the MAC
  • Lesley Johnstone, Curator and Head of Exhibitions and Education and co-curator of the exhibition
