MONTRÉAL, Dec. 15, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to a press conference during which the Minister for Education and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, Isabelle Charest, and the Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs, Ian Lafrenière, will make an announcement concerning the prevention of sexual violence and domestic and family violence in Indigenous communities. For the occasion, they will be accompanied by the president of Québec Native Women, Marjolaine Étienne.  

Media representatives wishing to participate in the event must pre-register, indicating that they wish to attend the event, by emailing relationsmedias@education.gouv.qc.ca before 8 a.m., December 16. The exact address of the venue will be provided once their accreditation is confirmed. Only journalists with a confirmed registration will be able to attend the press conference.

Two cameras for all media (camera pool) will be allowed on site.

The press conference will also be broadcast on the Facebook page of Minister Charest, the Facebook page of Minister Lafrenière and the Facebook page of the Secrétariat à la condition féminine.

COVID-19 notice
It is important to note that a vaccination passport is required for the event. People taking part in the press activity will have to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination containing a QR code showing their level of protection. Proof may be presented in printed form, in PDF format on a mobile device, or using the VaxiCode app.

In addition, people taking part in the event must not have any symptoms resembling those of COVID-19 and must not have been in contact with a person who has received a positive diagnosis within the last 14 days. Please note that a medical mask must be worn for the duration of the event.
