Starting from June 28, 2021, all regions will move to the new green zone

Easing of measures in the new green zone

Private outdoor gatherings and terraces:

  • a maximum of 20 people on private outdoor lots; 
  • a maximum of 20 people can be seated at the same table on restaurant and bar terraces.

It is worth noting that in the green zone a maximum of 10 people or the occupants of three different residences can assemble inside private homes.

Weddings and funerals can be held in indoor and outdoor public spaces with a maximum of 250 people, who must remain seated.

Outaouais region (starting from May 17, 2021)

The special emergency measures are lifted and Gatineau, the MRC Les-Collines-de-l’Outaouais, and the MRC de Pontiac return to red zone level.

The entire Outaouais region will thus be a red zone.

Bas-Saint-Laurent region (starting from May 17, 2021)

The special emergency measures are lifted and the MRC de Rimouski-Neigette returns to the red zone level.

  • The special emergency measures continue to apply in the MRC de Kamouraska, the MRC de Témiscouata, the MRC de Rivière-du-Loup and the MRC Les Basques.

Starting from May 17, 2021, Secondary III, IV and V students in the territories covered by the special emergency measures can return to their classrooms on alternate days.

  • This measure does not apply to the RCMs in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, where the special emergency measures will continue to apply.

Special emergency measures will end in the following territories, which will again become red zones starting from May 10, 2021:

  • the Communauté métropolitaine de Québec (the Capitale-Nationale region)
  • the Chaudière-Appalaches region, except for the MRC des Etchemins, the MRC de Beauce-Satigan, and the MRC de Robert-Cliche
  • the MRC de Papineau et de La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau (the Outaouais region)

Starting from May 10, 2021, elementary schools will open in all territories that are still subject to special emergency measures.

  • The elementary schools that were already open in certain of the territories remain open without interruption.

Starting from May 6, 2021, special emergency measures will apply in the MRC du Granit in the Estrie region.

  • Elementary schools remain open.
