Cancer screening

Detecting cancer early, even before signs or symptoms of the disease appear, increases the chances of successful treatment. Screening can be done for certain types of cancer such as:

  • breast cancer
  • lung cancer
  • colorectal cancer
  • cervical cancer

In order to be able to detect cancer early, it is important to know:

  • who is at risk of certain types of cancer
  • the symptoms
  • the screening tests
  • the additional examinations
  • the programs
  • the treatments
