Territorial establishments and establishments serving Northern and Indigenous populations

Establishments of Santé Québec, including those with a university designation, ensure the accessibility, continuity, and quality of services for the population in their territories.

They serve as points of access where people can seek assistance for health or psychosocial concerns. Individuals can receive the appropriate services or be referred to another resource within the territorial health and social services network.

Other establishments in the health and social services network, including four university hospital centres and three university institutes, provide specialized and highly specialized services beyond their health region. Some other public establishments also serve Northern and Indigenous populations.
