To be eligible for a program leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS), you must have either:
a Secondary School Diploma (SSD)
a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) and have passed:
the Secondary V language of instruction program
the Secondary V second language program
the Secondary IV mathematics program
received instruction the college considers equivalent
instruction and experience the college considers sufficient who has interrupted full-time studies for a cumulative period of at least 24 months
six credits or less remaining before obtaining an SSD or for completing one of the following subjects:
Secondary V language of instruction
Secondary V second language
Secondary IV mathematics
Some college programs also have specific requirements for the program you choose.
To be eligible for a program leading to an Attestation of College Studies (ACS), you must meet one of the following conditions:
have interrupted full-time studies or pursued post-secondary studies for at least two consecutive terms (a combination of interruption of studies and post-secondary studies is accepted)
hold a DVS
be covered under an agreement between the college and an employer, or be benefiting from a government program
Remedial activities (PDF 497 Kb) may be offered to allow students who do not meet all the admission requirements for a program leading to a DCS or an ACS to fill in the gaps.
To submit an application for admission to a CEGEP for a program leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS), you must complete the form for your regional admission service (RAS):
