Social Participation program in adult general education
The Social Participation program of study is offered by social integration services in adult general education. These services respond to the learning needs of people who are experiencing adjustment difficulties of a psychological, intellectual, social or physical nature. The program provides an educational response that helps fulfill government commitments to the most vulnerable populations, who, despite their difficulties, have the desire and the opportunity to participate more fully in Québec society.
The goal of this program of study is to help adult learners develop the competencies required to implement a social participation plan. Three courses will help adults organize their plan, validate it and experiment with it in their immediate environments: Looking to the Future: My Social Participation Plan; Consolidating My Social Participation Plan; and Taking Steps to Increase My Autonomy and Social Participation.
