Job description
These individuals take care of the structure of the ceilings, walls, and partitions of buildings. They install framework, install gypsum board, and apply limestone coatings such as plaster, mortar, cement, or aggregates.

Main tasks
Lather
Prepare the configuration of walls and ceilings.
Install metal framing and furring strips and attach metal or gypsum laths.
Make openings in the slats for pipes, ducts, and electrical outlets.
Put strips and mesh around beams that are to be plastered.
Install acoustic tiles, suspended ceiling supports, and metal studs.
Plasterers
Clean and prepare the surfaces to be plastered.
Mix the ingredients and apply layers of plaster, roughcast, acrylic, or other substitutes.
Create decorative patterns in the topcoat, as required.
Treat freshly plastered surfaces.
Mould and install plaster panels, cornices, and ornamental mouldings.
Spray soundproofing materials or textured finish on walls and ceilings.
Interior System Installers and Finishers
Cut and fit gypsum panels and attach to studs or joists.
Cut and install sticks to protect the outside corners.
Apply filler to different areas (joints, holes, slots, etc.) and sand the joints.
Manufacture and install suspended ceilings.
Install soundproofing and coffered ceilings.
