Obtaining a Special Benefit to Cover the Cost of Prescription Drugs
You may be eligible for a claim slip to cover the cost of your prescription drugs, even if you are not receiving benefits under one of the following programs:
- Social Assistance Program
- Social Solidarity Program
- Aim for Employment Program
To be eligible, your resources must be insufficient to cover your medication needs. With the claim slip, your medication will be paid by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec.
To apply, you must ask a pharmacist to complete the Estimation du coût des médicaments form (SR-2171)(French only) (PDF 104 Kb). This form will help us estimate the cost of your prescription drugs.
Once the form is completed, you may submit it in person or by mail to the nearest
