Building a Resilient and Future-Ready Québec

The Ministry of Finance is actively preparing Québec’s next budget, with a clear focus on strengthening the province’s position amid an evolving economic setting.

Since 2018, our government has made one promise very clear: protecting the income of our citizens comes first. And now, we can say with confidence: our efforts are paying off, as Quebecers’ purchasing power has increased greatly compared to the rest of Canada.

We recently updated our economic vision for Québec’s prosperity, which includes accelerating the approval and implementation of priority projects of nationwide significance. At the same time, we remain disciplined, staying on track to achieve a balanced budget by 20292030, exactly as we committed to in our last budget plan.

I am pleased to announce today the launch of our online pre-budget consultations for citizens. Over the next few weeks, I will also be meeting with key stakeholders across Québec who wish to share their priorities for the coming year. Together, we will keep building a Québec that is modern, resilient, and future ready.

The Minister of Finance
Eric Girard
