Through its network, the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie offers services, advices, and activities adapted to the characteristics of different countries to businesses, creators, researchers, and Québec institutions.
Depending on the importance of the posts (general delegation, delegation, bureau or trade office) and the relations they maintain with the host countries, the representative offices provide services in the sectors of activity that fall within the constitutional jurisdiction of Québec, which are economy, education, culture, immigration and public affairs.
General delegation is the most important office of Québec abroad, under the direction of a delegate appointed by the government. It offers services in the following sectors of activity : economy, education, culture, immigration and public affairs.
General delegation employs advisors (for some general delegations only), attachés and support staff recruited in-country.
