Mario W. Limoges took office as Québec Delegate in Chicago on December 6, 2021. As Quebec Delegate in Chicago, Mario W. Limoges leads his office in overseeing the twelve Midwest states that make up Quebec's second-largest regional trade partner with over 20 billion dollars of annual commercial exchange. He and his team cultivate growth opportunities across the region by supporting Quebec businesses and organizations in their efforts to increase exportations, investments, and collaboration opportunities. Beyond driving business and economic growth, he also brings a passion for furthering the rich cross-cultural and social relations of the Great Lakes and St-Laurence regions.

Mario Limoges is an experienced manager with over 20 years in public and government affairs as well as in economic development. He was at the helm of businesses and organizations that had proven successes in various sectors of the economy, such as in private capital investment, regional economic development, as well as in retail and tourism. During his career, he held several key positions in the Government of Québec and has served as the Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation du Québec (MEI) from 2015 to 2021, as general manager of Export Québec from 2014 to 2015, and as Director General of the Greater Montreal Economic Development Entity for the MEI from 2012 to 2014.

Over the last few years, Mario W. Limoges also chaired and co-chaired numerous committees. He was a founding Board Member for C2 Montreal from 2012 to 2015, helping to launch what has been called the “most forward-thinking business event in the world.”

Mario W. Limoges graduated from Laval University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in Agri-business, and completed a MBA from University of Sherbrooke in 1991. He was also named Marketing Personality of the Year by the American Marketing Association, Canadian division in 2000.
