QUÉBEC CITY, Oct. 24, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 600 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,221,866*;
- 3 new deaths, for a total of 16,957 deaths, i.e.;
- 1 death in the last 24 hours,
- 2 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 0 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day. - 3,322 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- Hospitalizations and intensive care: due to a change in methodology, data are no longer compiled on weekends. Thus, the data will be updated from Tuesday to Saturday
- 7,678 samples conducted on October 22;
- 302,836 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 254,441 positive: 139 declared for yesterday, including 127 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 10,754 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,715,901 doses received by Quebecers.
