QUÉBEC CITY, Oct. 28, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 965 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,225,874*;
- 12 new deaths, for a total of 17,026 deaths, i.e.;
- 1 death in the last 24 hours,
- 9 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 2 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE : As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day. - 3,756 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,942 hospitalizations, including 635 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 17 compared to the previous day;
- 163 new entries,
- 146 new discharges;
- 51 people in intensive care, including 30 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 4 compared to the previous day;
- 10 new entries,
- 6 new discharges;
- 12,490 samples conducted on October 26;
- 304,255 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 255,691 positive: 148 declared for yesterday, including 123 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 24,081 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,809,653 doses received by Quebecers.
