COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Nov. 4, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

• 914 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,231,520*;
• 9 new deaths, for a total of 17,086 deaths, i.e.;
• 1 death in the last 24 hours,
• 5 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
• 3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
  NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
• 3,818 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
• 1,907 hospitalizations, including 647 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 37 compared to the previous day;
• 131 new entries,
• 168 new discharges;
• 54 people in intensive care, including 35 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 2 compared to the previous day;
• 6 new entries,
• 4 new discharges;
• 12,171 samples conducted on November 2;
• 306,246 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 257,450 positive: 160 declared for yesterday, including 145 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

• 21,332 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,942,013 doses received by Quebecers.

To limit the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, it is important to follow basic preventive measures such as hand washing, physical distancing, wearing a face covering and following the instructions in effect.
