COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Nov. 23, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

• 1 332 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,246,205*;
• 2 new deaths, for a total of 17,292 deaths, i.e.;
• 0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
• 2 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
• 0 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
  NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
• 3,516 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
• 1,758 hospitalizations, including 574 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 60 compared to the previous day;
• 152 new entries,
• 92 new discharges;
• 42 people in intensive care, including 21 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
• 7 new entries,
• 7 new discharges;
• 12,774 samples conducted on November 21;
• 311,072 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 261,779 positive: 130 declared for yesterday, including 104 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

• 21,384 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,273,768 doses received by Quebecers.

To limit the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, it is important to follow basic preventive measures such as hand washing, physical distancing, wearing a face covering and following the instructions in effect.
