QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 20, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 1 262 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,274,140*;
- 28 new deaths, for a total of 17,570 deaths, i.e.;
- 4 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 9 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 15 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day. - 3,599 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 2,099 hospitalizations, including 699 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 31 compared to the previous day;
- 376 new entries,
- 345 new discharges;
- 57 people in intensive care, including 35 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day ;
- 15 new entries,
- 15 new discharges;
- 8,261 samples conducted on December 18;
- 317,432 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 267,558 positive: 139 declared for yesterday, including 131 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 9,802 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,697,996 doses received by Quebecers.
