QUÉBEC CITY, March 7, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 543 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,319,366*;
- 12 new deaths, for a total of 18,144 deaths, i.e.;
- 2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 7 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 4 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 1,808 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,316 hospitalizations, including 437 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 5 compared to the previous day;
- 221 new entries,
- 216 new discharges;
- 26 people in intensive care, including 13 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 8 compared to the previous day;
- 7 new entries,
- 15 new discharges;
- 5,280 samples conducted on March 5;
- 325,497 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 274,719 positive: 39 declared for yesterday, including 33 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 1 304 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,935,884 doses received by Quebecers.
