Kateri Champagne Jourdain, Minister of Families and Minister responsible for the Curateur public, tabled the Curateur public du Québec’s 2024-2025 annual report in the National Assembly today.

The report (in French only) (PDF 2.71 Mb) It provides a summary of the activities and results from the past year. The highlights include : 

  • Achievement of all commitments set out in the Declaration of Services to the Public.  
  • Achievement of the vast majority of targets in the Plan stratégique 2021-2026  (PDF 2.60 Mb)

  • Continuation of the major project to enhance support and simplify procedures for tutors caring for someone close to them.
  • Implementation of the requirement for judicial record checks for future tutors and temporary representatives.
  • Launch of a pilot project to recognize organizations as assistants.  
  • Rollout of communication strategies to promote the assistance measure.
  • Free printed copies of the protection mandate.

The financial statements for accounts under administration for the period ending December 31, 2024, round out the report.  

The annual administration report clearly illustrates the Curateur public’s efforts to achieve its goals in the best interests of people in vulnerable situations and their loved ones. It is the outcome of the hard work of a skilled, dedicated staff.
