During his visit, Jérôme Dupras met with numerous partners from the scientific, academic, and institutional communities to explore new avenues for cooperation and further strengthen the ties already connecting Québec and Europe.
He also gave two interviews to the Belgian newspaper Le Soir and the specialized media outlet Daily Science, where he discussed the major challenges facing contemporary research and the potential for collaboration between Québec, Belgium, and Europe. Topics addressed included science diplomacy, student and researcher mobility, international partnerships, and the role of science in public debate. These interviews also provided an opportunity to showcase the strengths of Québec’s research and innovation ecosystem to Belgian and Luxembourg audiences, while highlighting Québec’s commitment to building lasting international partnerships.
Because science is a powerful driver of collaboration and mutual understanding between societies, Québec remains committed to fostering knowledge exchange and creating new opportunities for cooperation with its European partners.
