WENDAKE, QC, Feb. 20, 2025 /CNW/ - The Honourable Manon Jeannotte, Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, will preside over a ceremony at the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations in Wendake, marking the first presentation of the Coronation Medal in an Indigenous community in Quebec, symbolizing another step toward reconciliation.

The ceremony will honour a diverse group of 38 Indigenous and non-Indigenous citizens who have been awarded this distinction by King Charles III, symbolizing a commitment to strengthening ties and fostering closer relationships between peoples in a spirit of respect and collaboration.

The King Charles III Coronation Medal is a commemorative distinction awarded to Canadians who have demonstrated dedication and commitment to the well-being of Canadian society.
