Youth protection: Strengthening collaboration to support the rights of First Nations and Inuit children

QUÉBEC CITY, May 28, 2026 /CNW/ - On Thursday, June 4, 2026, Ombudsperson Marc-André Dowd will release the second follow-up report on the Public Inquiry Commission on relations between Indigenous Peoples and certain public services in Québec: listening, reconciliation and progress. This report addresses the issue of the overrepresentation of First Nations and Inuit children and youth in the youth protection system.

The press conference will take place at 11 a.m. in room Evelyn-Dumas 1.30 of Pamphile-Le May Building (1035, rue des Parlementaires). It can be viewed live at assnat.qc.ca.
