On November 1, 2022, the law to better protect vulnerable persons came into force, ushering in a brand new measure to facilitate the help provided by the people close to them, namely the assistance measure. As we approach the first anniversary of the assistance measure, not to mention National Caregivers Week, the Curateur public will roll out a major promotional campaign from October 30 to November 26, to raise awareness for the measure among Québecers who are likely to use it, either as assisted persons or as caregivers.

In addition to television and digital advertisements, the Curateur public has made several tools available to the public to help them find out more about the assistance measure, its benefits and how to take advantage of it, including the leaflet The assistance measure – Official recognition to better help you (PDF 512 Kb). Webinars (in French) This hyperlink will open in a new window. are also offered every month. Sign up today—they’re free!

The Curateur public also contributed to the Guide Proche aidant, published by Éditions Protégez-vous This hyperlink will open in a new window., in which it explains the assistance measure and describes its service offer.
