The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration is launching the Programme de sélection des travailleurs qualifiés (PSTQ), which replaces the Programme régulier des travailleurs qualifiés (PRTQ).
There are four components to the PSTQ:
- Component 1: Highly qualified and specialized skills
- Component 2: Intermediate and manual skills
- Component 3: Regulated professions
- Component 4: Exceptional talent.
The programme is part of the Immigration Application management system based on the Declaration of interest. Applicants must complete a declaration of interest, and if their profile matches the criteria sought in Québec, they may receive an invitation to apply for permanent selection.
Individuals who have been invited or who have submitted an application for permanent selection under the PRTQ, before November 29, 2024, will have their application processed in accordance with the requirements of this programme.
The Ministère wishes to remind you that invitations have been suspended until June 30, 2025, at the latest. When invitations resume, they will do so as part of the PSTQ.
Declaration of interest needs to be updated
Individuals who expressed an interest in immigrating to Québec before November 29, 2024, may update their declaration of interest now. This update is necessary in order to receive an invitation when the temporary suspension of invitations is lifted.
