The coming into effect of the law to better protect vulnerable persons, initially planned for June, has been postponed to November 1, 2022. With a view to allowing the health and social services network, a key player in this law’s application, to continuing focusing its efforts on the fight against COVID‑19, the government passed an order-in-council on March 9 to postpone the law’s coming into force to this later date.
