Description of online French course with in-person support for Canadian-born persons
Online French courses with in-person support (deferred asynchronous distance learning) allow you to learn or improve your French at your own pace, using a computer ad without having to travel.
These courses familiarize you with the uses of the French language to enable you to meet your everyday life needs. A resource person from the adult education centre can analyze your needs with you, depending on your situation.
Assessment
The adult education centre will assess your French language level to ensure that your learning needs are met. The assessment may:
- Last between 15 and 60 minutes; according to your level;
- Spoken or sometimes written;
- Available online or at a service point.
Course structure
Deferred asynchronous distance learning offered by an adult education centre allows you to study from home or wherever you prefer, everywhere in Québec. You can meet the teaching staff at the training centre if you wish. They support you in your work and evaluate your learning at the end of each course.
Schedule
When you choose to follow the deferred asynchronous distance learning course, a member of the teaching staff establishes a training plan with you according to your situation.
