Develop skills for using the Internet

Ping! training is offered by Communautique. It gives you the basic skills to use the Internet and protect your digital identity.

Eligibility

Anyone aged 18 and over can take the Ping! training course, if, as far as technology is concerned,

  • they feel overwhelmed;
  • they are experiencing difficulties using it;
  • They don’t know how to react when it doesn't work. 

Course Description

Training is offered online or on the premises of Communautique partners.

The training consists of six modules lasting three hours each:

  • How a computer works
  • Conducting research on the Internet and finding reliable sources of information
  • Using email
  • Carrying out online transactions and protecting your identity
  • Social media
  • Using online services, including government services
  • Developing your digital autonomy

You can register for all modules, or just the one or the ones that interest you most.

Ping! training does not entitle participants to a participation allowance or to reimbursement of childcare or transit costs.

Participant with a computer or tablet

If you have a computer or tablet, we offer online training for individuals or groups of 5 to 7 participants.

You need an Internet connection to take this course.

Participant who does not have a computer or tablet

If you don't have a computer or tablet, we can offer you individual training in an office chosen by the trainer. A device can be loaned to you for the individual or group training.
