Develop Skills and Gain Work Experience as a Young Person
If you are between 16 and 30 years of age, you could be eligible for the Youth in Movement Towards Employment program to help you enter the labour market.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain work experience in a business while being paid.
During your participation, you will receive effective and personalized support.

Criteria to participate in the program:
You are between 16 and 30 years of age
You are having difficulty finding a job
You are not studying full time
Duration of activities and involvement
The program has two distinct phases to promote your integration into the labour market.
Phase 1: Developing your skills
The first phase is focused on skills development to promote your integration and retention in the labour market. You can also receive help to identify your career path.
The first phase is at least 20 hours a week, for a maximum of 20 weeks.
Phase 2: Gaining experience in a business
The second phase of the program focuses on gaining real work experience in a business in your region.
The second phase is at least 25 hours a week, for a maximum of 20 weeks.
Financial assistance
During your participation in the program, you will be entitled to:
a $370 allowance per week;
reimbursement of certain costs, such as childcare and transportation costs, if applicable;
a salary paid by the employer during your experience in the business.
